ATV TOUR

Snæfellsjökull Glacier & Lava Fields

Ride into legend at the foot of the mystical Snæfellsjökull Glacier, immortalized by Jules Verne as the gateway to the Centre of the Earth. Your adventure begins on smooth paved roads before quickly giving way to gravel F-roads, tracks and rugged terrain that few travelers ever reach.

Take in sweeping views of the glacier’s shimmering crevasses and striking blue ice that's visible in summer and journey across the fresh glacier moraines, ancient lava fields and pumice fields frozen in time. Ride on the slopes of a 1,500-year-old volcanic crater and feel the raw force of Iceland’s geological past beneath your wheels.

This is a medium paced tour designed for scenery rather than speed, the thrill comes from the land itself. Along the way, our experienced guides keep your safety at the forefront while sharing insights into the glacier’s mysteries, volcanic history, and fragile natural balance.

Routes and views may vary with the seasons, shaped by weather, snow, and the ever-changing Icelandic landscape.

Ready for adventure?

Our ATV tours run year-round, with availability depending on conditions. In winter, tour slots may appear limited in our booking system due to unpredictable snow, but as soon as conditions allow, new dates will open.

On clear days, this adventure reveals some of the most breathtaking scenery Iceland has to offer: the towering Snæfellsjökull Glacier up close, the sparkling waters of Breiðafjörður Bay, and a dramatic landscape of lava fields and volcanic craters stretching into the horizon. You will see why Snæfellsnes is often called "Iceland in a nutshell".
